The NFEC and Penn State Behrend partner to promote financial literacy

The National Financial Educators of (NFEC) and the Centre for Financial and consumer issues at Penn State Erie The Behrend College, a partnership to promote financial literacy throughout Pennsylvania . This com financial literacy initiative, which began February 1, 2012, provides free personal finance resources for schools and non-profit organizations.
financial literacy resources form part of the Financial NFECs EduNation campaign, a national financial literacy initiative aimed at youth financial capacity to improve, while raising awareness about the importance of teaching children about money. The campaign offers more than 30 tools to give youth a practical financial education. The NFEC a personal finance that parents, educators, community members and financial professionals can share their communitys youth.
EduNation financial resource center includes materials aimed directly at teens and young adults. Students are provided access to the money-XLive multi-media learning center. This virtual training has exclusive videos of celebrities, business leaders and sports stars. Other features include notes, guides, online and interactive testing.
We chose NFEC educational resources as part of our outreach in Pennsylvania to provide, because it balances the practical application of core educational standards, Erica K. Jackson, director of the Centre for Financial and Consumer Outreach, said. The comprehensive financial educator training will help us empower those providing the information with the tools needed to assess the effectiveness of the course work to maximize.

The Centre for Financial and Consumer Outreach (CFCO) is an outreach program of the Sam and Irene Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend. The CFCOs primary purpose is to provide educational outreach program focused on personal finance skills to provide students in middle school through college. The effort centers reached more than 25,000 individuals with materials to learn how to make a living, self-sufficiency level, improving the quality of life.

The NFEC is a social enterprise organization dedicated to giving communities the resources they need to empower young people with the knowledge necessary to make financial decisions that can improve their lives, now and in the future.
