Low Maintenance Athletics Tracks

Artificial sports surfaces have become a common feature of many sports facilities around the world such as football and hockey pitches, tennis courts and athletic tracks. The most successful variety available in artificial athletics track is the one made up of SBR fibrous rubber with petro-chemical binders. These all-weather track surfaces are installed at full depth using special equipment. If you are looking for an economical yet highly effective alternative, you can opt for the all-weather track surface consisting of SBR granules blended with polyurethane binders in a specifically designed mixing machine. The mixture is then applied to the surface to create a track that is durable, porous, for better drainage and consistently uniform.

Companies, specialising in the manufacture and installation of athletics tracks, also offer certain varieties that boast of long life coupled with great performance. Such tracks usually feature a rubber-bound base mat topped with multiple layers of coloured EPDM (ethylene propylene diene M-class) rubber granules encapsulated in a coloured polyurethane structural spray coating. The colour and weight of the spray coating can be altered as per requirements. Such companies may also offer services related to the construction of sports hall flooring and artificial turf that can be used as a multi-use game area.
