The Best of Free Dog Games For Office Time Wasters

Published by admin under Sport

In the smaller niche of free dog games, there are many options available that will keep you entertained for quite some time. Do your best to complete levels in record time, or just try to survive. It is really up to you. Some free dog games offer greater challenges than others, but that may not be what you are looking for. Perhaps you want a game that will not tax too much of your ability. After all, you have got a job to do!

If you are looking for light, fast-paced fun that is addicting without becoming overbearing, then the game Puppy Fetch may be for you. Before you play this game, you must first possess a love for puppies and 2D side-scrolling adventure. Here are some of the key factors that make Puppy Fetch one of the most adorably addictive free dog games.

Gameplay

The objective of Puppy Fetch is really quite simple. The older dog throws a stick, and it is up to you controlling the puppy to maneuver your way past hazards such as black cats to retrieve the stick and bring it back to the older dog. Upon completion you get to move to the next level. (There are ten all together.) The controls are very basic, which adds to the fun of the game. You use the arrow keys to move forward and back, and the space bar logs, rocks, and sand castles – anything the level you are playing throws at you, really. Successful completion occurs when you are safe and sound back at the start with the stick on the ground at the older dog’s paws.

Graphics

The graphics are sleek, smooth, and beautiful. Whether it is the green lushness of the Funky Forest or the fast-moving fun of Plainty Plains, you are navigating crisp 2D terrains that are a true pleasure to the eyes. The Cumulus Clouds level, in particular, offers puffy white details against a pure blue backdrop that will invoke thoughts of paradise, while the Chilly Cavern level will keep you enticed with its stark Arctic terrain.

Challenge

Puppy Fetch is a very simple game to play, and the early levels are quite easy to master. As the levels advance, however, some of the obstacles are increasingly harder to jump, though it will mainly wreak havoc on your time and not your lives. Part of the joy of playing Puppy Fetch is that it is nowhere near as involving as a game you might purchase from Best Buy or any number of video game dealers out there. If you are playing Puppy Fetch as an office time-waster, then you more than likely do not want it to be, because you are at work, after all, and you want your mind to stay fresh and sharp for when business needs attending to.

Puppy Fetch is one of those free dog games that strikes the right balance between challenge and involvement. You can easily leave it, come back to it later, and not experience any mental downtime as a result. If anything, it will help your physical response time for other more important things you may encounter throughout the day. Just don’t let the boss find out!

Challenging Free Dog Games That Require Patience and Skill

Published by admin under Sport

Of all the free dog games available online, you may be wondering which are the best office time-wasters and which are simply a waste of time. While some are so simple you can beat them in less than an hour – where’s the challenge in that? – others may require a little more time and skill than you ever planned on spending. It is true that some free dog games are harder to complete than others, but when answering the question of which is better, you must examine your own personal tastes and expectations. If you are playing at work, you definitely do not want something that will get in the way of that!

But if you think you can balance challenge and work, then the game Dog Police may be for you. With a look reminiscent of the classic Spy Hunter game on the Nintendo, Dog Police employs the same overhead shot and fast-paced action. Here are some of the key factors that make Dog Police one of the most challenging (and fun) free dog games.

Gameplay

On the surface, the gameplay of Dog Police is incredibly simple, as any office time-waster should be. You simply use the arrow keys to control the movement and speed of your vehicle. The goal is for you to successfully navigate the hazards of road and traffic, so you can catch up to the Dog Catcher and start releasing those kidnapped puppies! To use your arsenal of weaponry – and you better use it only on the Dog Catcher or you will lose points – simply press the space bar.

Graphics

With its two-dimensional overhead view, you will definitely be reminded of Spy Hunter, though improved technology has caused the graphics to move much more smoothly than any of the 8-bit console games of yore. Obstacles, which mainly consist of oil slicks, water spots, picket fences, and a repeatedly bottle-necking highway, are very basic, stripped-down and cartoon-y. It is clearly not about the graphics with Dog Police, but the pacing and challenge.

Challenge

Dog Police is much more difficult than most free dog games at first, but you will benefit from your first few runs. Each level has a pattern, and once you learn the pattern, it becomes more about avoiding the pedestrians and dueling with the Dog Catcher than running aground through a picket fence. Still, that does not mean you’re home free. The Dog Catcher will use any advantage he can to break free from your arsenal and make it to the pound safely, including using pedestrians as cover.

Dog Police is one of those free dog games that can be very challenging and frustrating – perhaps more so than what you are actually looking for in an office time-waster experience. However, for those of you with better reaction times and gaming skill, it can provide exactly what you are looking for to keep your mind and body sharp while stuck behind a computer for the majority of your day. There are better free dog games out there, but if you are a highly skilled gamer that never backs down from a good challenge, Dog Police may put all the other competition behind bars.

Progressive Transformation of Sonic the Hedgehog

Published by admin under Sport

Since its début in 1991, Sonic the Hedgehog has undergone many changes. Even though the basic design has remained constant, the look and feel of the character underwent a sea of changes depending on the designers and artists on the creative team. While the original video character designed by Ohshima was short, childish with small quills and round body, the Sonic redesigned by Yuji Uekawa was taller with long legs, longer and drooping spikes. It had leaner body and green eyes. Since then many less obvious changes have been brought forth in the design of our beloved hedgehog.

The platform game Sonic the Hedgehog, also known as Sonic 1, featured its arch-rival Dr. Robotnik, who later came to be known as Dr. Eggman. Next in queue was the second version of the game which brought Tails, the lovable sidekick of the Blue Blur. Released in 1992, Sonic 2 also introduced the character’s Super Sonic form and its famous Spin Dash. In the following year, a CD version launched Amy Rose and Metal Sonic, the famous superhero girl friend and counterpart respectively. This installment for the first time, had the Blue Blur time travelling to save the world.

1994 was the year when Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and its sequel Sonic & Knuckles were released. While the Blue Blur and Tails battled Dr. Robotnik in Sonic 3, its sequel featured Sonic fighting Knuckled the Echidna who had been swindled by Dr. Robotnik into fighting with our superhero. Indeed, Dr. Robotnik has remained the most popular enemy of Sonic through the years.

Minor games like Chaos, Triple Trouble, Sonic Blast and Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure followed the third installment of the game and it appeared as if the game series was facing its doom. But proving all its distracters wrong, Sonic Adventure was released in 1998 and became an instant hit with full voice over for Sonic and Dr. Robonik rechristened Dr. Eggman.

It took three years for Sonic Adventure 2 to hit the market. The Blue Blur made its foray in Nintendo handheld devices with Sonic Advances in 2001 which was followed by Sonic Advances in 2002. A third release of Advances 3 was released in 2004, followed by Sonic Rush in 2005. It was in 2006 that Sonic the Hedgehog found its way to underwater city of Soleanna on a rescue mission to save Princess Elise from Dr. Eggman while keeping a wide berth from Silver the Hedgehog.

But that is not all, 2005 had another installment in Game Boy with Sonic Rush Adventure. The Blue Blur superhero has also been made into a number of television series four of which has been released in United States. This move establishes sonic in other media besides the video game console. For years, Sega has been struggling with ways in which to promote, or make their Blue Blur Mascot bigger. Their efforts have taken them to the development of Comic books, online and console games, television series, and even a featured movie released in Japan. It is therefore very likely that the unlikely superhero will arrive to movie theatres in America within a very short period of time.
